When the load can’t simply be put down,

you still need space to be you

You didn’t choose to become an expert in this world. You found yourself here because someone you love needed you to.

Suddenly you’re learning unfamiliar systems, becoming an advocate, coordinating professionals, researching, preparing and making decisions - often within systems that weren’t built with the person you love in mind.

You’ve become very good at it. Because when someone you love is depending on you, missing something doesn’t feel like a small mistake.

And however capable you become, you still can’t control the outcome

What’s the right support? What happens next? How do you navigate the system, ask the right questions, make the right decisions?

These questions matter. Of course they do.

But somewhere amongst all that responsibility, it can become very easy to lose sight of you.

Not the advocate.
Not the organiser.
Not the person keeping everything moving.

You.

The woman underneath all of it.

Everyone wants to know what the person you love needs

You need enough space to hear yourself amongst everything you’re carrying

Capable.

Informed.

Always one step ahead.

And still, it feels like a lot.

What if the space you’re craving didn’t depend on the load disappearing?

Space to settle

To step out of constant readiness and begin to feel a little safer in your own body, even when the external worries haven’t gone away

Space to discern

To recognise what genuinely needs you, what doesn’t, and the patterns, beliefs and expectations that have kept you carrying so much

Space to choose

To reconnect with what matters to you and make more intentional choices about how you want to live, within the life you are actually living

Carry what matters without losing yourself beneath it

A space that’s yours…

I work with women one-to-one over 12 sessions, usually across 3 to 6 months.

This isn’t a programme to work through or a set of steps to follow. It’s a sustained coaching relationship, shaped around you and what you need as we work together.

We’ll combine deep coaching with carefully chosen tools and embodied practices to help you explore what’s happening beneath the surface, understand the patterns, beliefs and expectations that may be shaping how you respond, and create meaningful change in the way you experience and navigate your life.

Sometimes that might mean making sense of something you’ve been carrying for a long time. Sometimes it might mean noticing what your body is telling you, experimenting with a different way of responding, reconnecting with what matters to you, or creating space for choices you haven’t been able to hear amongst everything else.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. Sometimes you will. Sometimes you might simply know that something doesn’t feel quite right. Both are enough to begin.

We’ll meet online for 50-60 minutes, usually weekly or fortnightly depending on what works for you. Walk-and-talk sessions may also be possible where location and circumstances allow.

If you’re wondering whether coaching might be the right support for you, that’s exactly what the discovery call is for

Every Corner for Organisations

Supporting the women within the communities you serve

I work with organisations and communities supporting women carrying significant caregiving and advocacy responsibility.

I offer workshops and facilitated sessions exploring the often unseen impact of caring and advocacy - including the emotional weight of responsibility, identity beyond the caring role, and how women can create space for themselves when the circumstances they're navigating can't simply be changed.

I also offer reflective sessions for staff, exploring the load families carry, how this intersects with the services they access, and how everyday interactions can help people feel heard, understood and less alone.

Sessions can be delivered in person or online and shaped around the needs of your organisation and the people you support.

If you're interested in bringing Every Corner to your organisation or community, I'd love to hear what you're seeing and explore what might be useful.

Why I created Every Corner

I found myself in a world I never expected to inhabit - navigating complex systems, advocating for my child, researching, preparing, making decisions and learning more than I ever imagined I would need to know.

It showed me a particular kind of load:

the responsibility of doing everything within your power for someone you love, while knowing that however capable you become, you still can’t control the outcome.

And somewhere amongst all that responsibility, I began to understand how easy it is to lose sight of yourself.

Coaching gave me space to explore who I was underneath it all - not just as a mother, advocate or professional, but as me.

Every Corner grew from that experience, but it also draws on more than 20 years of working with people as a physiotherapist and as an Army Reserve officer and military leader, and my training as a Certified One of Many™ Women’s Coach.

They are very different worlds, but each has taught me something about people, responsibility, uncertainty and what it means to create the conditions in which someone can find their own way forward.

I believe we can carry what matters without losing ourselves beneath it.

“Claire listened with so much attention and presence that I immediately felt safe, seen, and completely free to be myself. I walked away with new perspectives that I don't think I would have reached on my own, but also with a much more embodied sense of my own power and different facets of myself.

Claire brings this beautiful combination of depth, warmth, intuition, and lightness to her coaching.”

What women I’ve coached say

“Working with Claire, I quickly realised my issues weren't based on needing better time management skills, but rather grounded in the fact that I used to put everyone else's needs before my own.

I feel calmer in my approach to challenging situations at work and in life, and delight in the fact that I've found more time for myself and my loved ones.”

Elizabeth B

“What surprised me was how deep the work went. Claire is such a good listener. Honestly, nothing I brought to her ever fazed her. And she got me trying things I'd never have tried on my own, but always in a way that felt safe rather than forced.

Now, at the end of it, I have focus. I know where I'm going and what I'm doing, and we achieved our goals together.”
